In the fall of 1820, two young gentlemen made an amazing discovery: gem tourmaline. This find marked the beginning of the gemstone mining industry in Maine. This industry continues today and drives the mission of the Museum. This graphic was created to celebrate the 200th anniversary of that historical find. These are true to adult sizes and are a more relaxed fit (the mannequin is modeling a size MEDIUM). Please note: the color of this shirt is different from the original. This shirt is "silver" in color; the original was "oatmeal" in color.
