Cassiopeia is a queen in the Greek mythos who was known for her beauty and her vanity. While this necklace doesn't have an ego, it certainly has beauty. The five stars of the constellation are represented by pallasitic olivines that are cut from olivine crystals that are part of pallasite meteorites. The gems measure between 2 and 2.5 mm with a total carat weight of .21 cts.
Jewelry artist Christine Peters of Damariscotta (Maine) designed and created this necklace using sterling silver which she has also oxidized. The neckace is 2 3/4" in diameter and the chain is 19". Please note: this is a LARGE statement piece.
