Extraordinary Bicolor Tourmaline earrings

During the two years of mining at the Dunton Mine, a ton of tourmaline was found.  Sounds like a lot, right?  In reality, not all of it was able to be cut into gems. Even rarer was the bicolor and watermelon tourmaline.  Even rarer still is a matching pair of bicolor tourmalines. 

This extraordinary pair of tourmalines measure 11 x 6 mm and weigh 6.25 cts.  They are set in a handcrafted set of earrings made with 14K yellow gold.  They were designed and created by master jeweler Brian Quigley of Moody, ME.
