This stunning Morganite is 12 x 9.5 mm and weighs 4.65 cts. It was mined as part of the "Rose of Maine" at the Bennett Mine in Buckfield, ME.
"The Rose" was the largest morganite crystal mined in the US and was mined on October 7, 1989 by the Holden brothers: Dennis and Ron. The crystals was the size of a large pumpkin and weighed over 50 pounds. Shortly after being mined, the crystal was broken up for gem rough.
The pendant mounting is 14K white gold and the accent stones are amethysts.
