While this slice may be small, the color makes up for it!  Found at the Dunton Quarry in Newry, Maine from 1972-1974.  This once in a lifetime find was mined by the Plumbago Mining Corporation. This find remains one of the largest tourmaline finds in North America!

The slice in this pendant is just about an inch from top to bottom (including the bail) and around 3/4" in width.  The frame for this pendant is 14KY gold and was created by jeweler Scott Lawrence.

Most watermelon tourmaline from Maine has internal fractures that make it appear cloudy. If the slice has made it through the cutting and polishing process, normal wear and tear should not hurt it.
