Hundreds of small openings were made and financed to the sum of $400,000 to $500,000 each. Some of these have been backfilled and covered over and the exact location may never be known. Many mines produced gold, silver and precious gems. PLEASE NOTE: the maps should be considered for reference ONLY. Make sure you have landowners permission BEFORE rockhounding!
