Spark a lifetime of curiosity with one of the most unique gifts on Earth.
The lunar meteorite NWA 12691 was ejected from the Moon’s surface
following a tremendously energetic asteroid impact, thrusting this material into
Earth’s orbit. Specimens of the NWA 12691 lunar meteorite. Originating from the lunar highlands, these samples were discovered in January of 2017 in the western Sahara Desert. The NWA lunar meteorite is composed of feldspathic breccia, which is a compound of fragments of lunar materials, including anorthite, olivine, pigeonite, augite, and ilmenite, cemented together by lunar regolith (crushed rock and volcanic glass). The picture which accompanies the specimen is sourced from NASA, and each specimen is verified and stamped with our seal of authenticity.
Prices vary by weight. The display circle for the meteorite is 1" in diameter
